Kid Territory:Recipes: Hornbill Hoopla
Hornbills are one
of the most interesting birds in the rain forest. Their diet is mostly fruits, which is why I thought Fruit Loops® would be perfect for this special snack. By the way, hornbills are great
at catching food in their large bills. Try tossing a few Fruit Loops
in the air and see if you can catch them in your beaker,
mouth!
Ingredients
6 |
cups Fruit Loops |
1 |
package (10 ounces) marshmallows |
3 |
tablespoons margarine |
Melt margarine in a large saucepan on low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until they're completely melted. Remove from the heat and add the Fruit Loops. Stir until well coated. Using a buttered spatula or wax paper, press mixture evenly into a 13"x 9"x 2" pan coated with cooking spray.
Cut into Hornbill Hoopla squares for a colorful snack!
